Alan Pre-Fab Pan Buildings are used primarily in industrial applications for Control Rooms, Equipment Rooms and Pump Enclosures. There are relatively few exposed fasteners, making this building more secure than a 'rigid frame' building. The Pan Building can also ship as a kit, and will 'pack down' to a relatively small area. Pan Buildings are reasonably easy to assemble, because very little layout is involved.

Pan Buildings are Type II non rated structures. They are not DOH certified. M-1 occupancy (miscellaneous) 20 PSF roof, 15 PSF walls(70 mph exposure B), Seismic Zone IV

The Alan Pre-Fab Pan building is a self framing building, which means it has no structural steel skeleton. The building gets its strength only as the last piece of framing is put in place, then it is an integrated structure.

Inside height is 9'0" for an unlined unit. Roof is a shed roof with the water draining off the long wall side, away from the door if possible U.N.O. 6" metal fascia is standard.

Basic unit is unlined. Siding and roofing is 19 gauge steel, (36k PSI), galvanized (G90), unpainted. Framing panels are 16" net coverage each.

Each unit comes standard with 4ea 5/8" diameter crane eyes at roof for lifting. 4ea 20' minimum length cables are suggested for craning to minimize side pull on the crane eyes. Unlined building weigh about 3 #/sq ft of total surface area.
